About the School
Maple Bloom has a distinguished 13-year history, founded by an experienced UK educator who previously operated one of Solihulls top-rated pre-schools. Building on this strong foundation, Maple Bloom opened its first pre-school campus in Tanzania in 2020.

Located in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, Maple Bloom Elementary represents the next stage of this vision: a purpose-built, nurturing environment delivering a British-style education that is internationally recognised. As a Pearson Edexcel approved centre, the school offers the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), ensuring a high-quality, globally relevant learning experience. Small class sizes, experienced teachers, and well-resourced learning spaces remain central to the schools ethos of excellence, innovation, and child-centred education.

Living in Tanzania
Tanzania offers an exceptionally rewarding lifestyle for international educators. Masaki is a vibrant, cosmopolitan area with cafés, international restaurants, beach clubs, and a warm expatriate community. Its coastal setting provides opportunities for sailing, diving, and outdoor recreation. Beyond the city, Tanzanias world-famous attractions include the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibars beaches, and Mount Kilimanjaro. The welcoming culture and relaxed pace of life make Tanzania an outstanding place to live and work.

The Role: Deputy Head of Primary School

Working closely with the Head of School, the Deputy Head ensures that students receive an outstanding, child-centred education aligned with Maple Blooms ethos and international curriculum pathways.

Key Responsibilities

You will have significant experience in primary education, including middle or senior leadership experience such as Phase Leader, Head of Department, or Assistant Head. You should have strong familiarity with the British curriculum or international pathways such as IEYC and IPC. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential, and experience in international or culturally diverse contexts is an advantage.
